On day 2 of the LBDI, we look at housing and homelessness and the statistics are shocking. In January 2024, London Councils estimated that 1 in 50 Londoners are homeless.  Rough sleeping has increased by 58% in the past decade and temporary accomodation (the majority of which houses women and children) is inadequate to meet needs.

The JLL has long-standing partnerships with Restart and The Manna Society, two amazing charities that are working every day to provide support services to homeless Londoners. Over the years our volunteers have helped serve thousands of meals, provided amenity kits, worked in the cold weather clothing store, and more.
